6 Days in Romania: Bunkers, Mines & Mountains, No Castles
A real route built through a back-and-forth with Advntyr's agent, explicitly steering it away from the castle circuit — not a single magic prompt, and not a finished itinerary either.
Romania gets requested for Dracula and hilltop castles more than almost anywhere else in Europe, so this prompt asked for the opposite: skip the tourist trail entirely and build a Cluj-Napoca-to-Bucharest route around mountains, abandoned Cold War bunkers, Communist-era industrial ruins, and natural oddities most visitors never hear about — packed full, not a relaxed pace.

One good find — Cheile Turzii's gorge viewpoint — got tacked onto the route in the wrong spot, after Bucharest instead of near Cluj at the start, which needed a manual fix before the optimizer could be trusted again.
A second pass pushed harder on specifics — Roșia Montană's mining museum, the Dacian fortresses around Sarmizegetusa Regia, Petrila's coal collieries, Slănic Prahova's salt mine, the Buzău mud-volcano region — mixing named-location search with more search-along-route calls scoped to the actual drive. That took the route from 13 stops to 27, re-optimized end to end with no backtracking.
