6 Days in Croatia: Istria to Dubrovnik by Car
A real route built through a short back-and-forth with Advntyr's agent — not a single magic prompt, and not a finished itinerary either.
This one started vaguer than most: "show me everything I'd like in Croatia, then build me a route" — no interests specified. The agent asked back what travel style, which regions, and how long, rather than guessing. From there — mainland coast plus inland, self-drive, relaxed pace, six days, skipping islands that need a ferry — it searched Istria, Plitvice, Zadar, Šibenik, Trogir, Split, and Dubrovnik.
"Show me everything I'd like in Croatia, then build me a route."The first draft was too thin — 10 stops for 6 days — so a follow-up ("add more, and search along the route for things on the way") took it to 20. One of those stops turned out to have bad location data (a park-level pin with no real address instead of an actual point), which was silently breaking the route optimizer without any error — removing it and re-optimizing fixed the whole route in two more messages. What's below is the result: a full mainland loop from Istria down to Dubrovnik with no backtracking.
